St Cross College on St Giles in Oxford City Centre is a beautiful mix of old and new with the College being founded in 1965. It has the typical 'Oxford College' look while have a new, purpose built West Wing hosting our dedicated Lecture Theatre, Seminar and Breakout rooms. We have two glorious Quads where croquet can be played and outside events can be held. We have several beautiful rooms for fine dining and smaller meetings. Our dedicated catering team are always on hand to discuss menu options and cater for every dietary requirement.

Location

St Cross is located on St Giles in the City Centre is a short, five minute, walk from the major university laboratories, libraries, institutions and parks.
It is also easily accessible via all Park & Ride bus routes and is a 10-minute walk from Oxford Train station.

Rooms

We have a variety of rooms catering for a wide range of event from dinners, receptions, conferences, seminars, weddings and receptions. We also have two Quads where garden parties can be held.
Our West Wing hosts our Lecture Theatre seating 85, our Seminar room seating 28 boardroom style and two small break out rooms that can be joined to one larger room seating 16 boardroom style. The Seminar and breakout rooms are both beautifully light and airy and look out onto our West Quad where refreshments can be taken.
Our fine dining room, the Van Heyningen, is named after our founding Master and is a beautiful room for a private dinner seating 12. This room looks out onto the Blackwell round Quad. For larger dinners or small seminars, the St Cross Room seats 30 boardroom or 20 for dinner.
Our main site meeting room is the Ian Skipper room and this seats 20 in an open U shape.

Accessibility

We are a fully accessible venue with a separate entrance also on St Giles. The entrance takes you straight into the Common Room with door out onto the Quad and which also has an assessible toilet. The ground floor is all on one level and suitable for wheelchair access.
