The Victory Services Club, located near Marble Arch, has marked the completion of a four-year refurbishment programme with the opening of its newly renovated entrance foyer to the Carisbrooke Hall – the Club’s event space that can hold up to 300 delegates.

The Carisbrooke Hall entrance foyer has been fully refurbished with accessibility in mind; the entrance now allows for clear wheelchair access from pavement level into the foyer and has been upgraded to include a new platform lift to allow guests to descend comfortably into the event space.

This has been achieved by a combination of dropping the main entrance threshold to street level and incorporating a shallow ramp within the entrance lobby together with the installation of the platform lift. The lift connects the ground and basement lobbies and has the capacity to carry motorised wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

As a Military Charity, financial support was donated to the Club for this project through ‘Help for Heroes’ which also contributed towards the construction of the Club’s accessibility ramp located at the main entrance.

Mark Field FIH, operations director, Victory Services Club said: “The new-look entrance foyer to the Carisbrooke Hall gives event organisers their own dedicated entrance to the event space and creates an exclusive arrival area. Accessibility was of utmost importance to us to ensure that all of our guests can comfortably access all our event spaces. Our refurbishment programme commenced in 2015 and has completely transformed the Club, enriching the dining areas, event spaces and kitchens.”

The Carisbrooke Hall underwent a major £1m refurbishment in 2017 and is the perfect space for award ceremonies, conferences, dinners and drinks receptions.
