Michael Hirst , Chairman of the Business Visits and Events Partnership said in this month’s Conference News  “The industry is in good shape. It has set out it’s stall well, both in producing evidence based proofof the contribution it makesto the economy and the community and highlighting the key issues in its manifesto . The present government is keen to lay out its policy toward the sector in the early Spring which should provide a strong template for the industry to reach it’s growth objectives. The General Election in May could mean having to re-emphasise priorities to the incoming Administration, but events will in any case, receive a boostform the activities in the run up to the election and in the immediate aftermath as companies and organisations adjust to the new government and its policies. All in all a good year ahead.
