In a 200m scheme there are exciting plans for a 10 acre site directly opposite the Millennium bridge to be developed to include an entertainment arena, conference and exhibition centre, hotels, bars and restaurants.

Next Summer Newcastle Gateshead will host the Great Exhibition of the North set to be the largest event in England in 2018. It aims to reveal to the world how the north of England’s great art and culture, design and innovation has shaped our lives and is building the economy of tomorrow.
