This is an ambiguous point, ie the Collins English Dictionary definition of a meeting is:

meeting is an event in which a group of people come together to discuss things or make decisions.

‘we held an urgent meeting to discuss the response to the epidemic’
or
While the definition of a conference is:
conference is a meeting, often lasting a few days, which is organized on a particular subject or to bring together people who have a common interest.
